WHAT ARE JACARANDAS....

WHY ARE THEY SO SPECIAL TO PRETORIA ? WHAT WAS THE FUSS...SO WHAT ...To loose a miserable rotten polluting alien invader....

QUESTION:- Are Jacaranda's so so so cool that that the city is nicknamed "Jacarandas city"

Visit Pretoria/ Tshwane and you will see that the city is what it is because of the trees. When the trees bloom,- the whole city go's blue! and in summer you only have to live there to know that without the trees the city would boil over. You can drive out of Jacaranda into the a high-veld heat and glare that makes you realise what a miracle big trees are. without these giant urban cooling trees Pretoria would be lie  one bi baking urban parking lot!

But the arrogance to even challenge the soul of Pretoria....  .....how much of a big shot must a big shot be ? To tell a city that they can no longer have their national anthem?

.....to actually challenge Pretoria with its trees ....the very life and soul of the city ....that even decided its name used in marketing and brochures and stuff!

So how cool are they ....these jacarandas...

My personal view is unleash them here in the cape....they are insane...beautiful ....spectacular. One of the most beautiful trees in the world! How nice would your street be ....lined with jacarandas (you should see them in bloom) Apparently the whole city goes blue...even the streets are speckled blue like a kind of blue snow!
